Murder victim identified as Jared Brown, 24, of Mattapan.
Boston Police report a man was fatally shot around 3:40 a.m. at 91 Westview St. in Franklin Field.
That shooting came about 4 1/2 hours after another man was shot in the leg off Ames Street.
Not long after the fatal shooting, a third man was shot at 868 Blue Hill Ave., near Talbot Street, WCVB reports.
Around 8:30 a.m., police report, Atunbi Bryan, 27, of Brockton and Michael Warner, 34, of Hyde Park, started shooting at another man across Talbot Avenue, in front of the Boys and Girls Club - and in front of police officers there for today's J'ouvert parade, a short distance from the Blue Hill Avenue shooting. According to police:
While in plain view of the officers, Warner produced a firearm and began to shoot across the street at Bryan who in turn also produced a firearm and began to shoot back at Warner. The two suspects then simultaneously turned in opposite directions and fled on foot. Officers immediately pursued the fleeing suspects, arresting Warner about one hundred yards away at which time they recovered a .32 caliber Smith & Wesson CTG revolver which he had discarded on the ground as he fled. It was later determined that the weapon contained six spent shell casings. Officers were able to arrest Bryan just a short distance away from the crime scene at which time they discovered that he had been injured during the exchange of gunfire. Officers then recovered a loaded .380 caliber Glock 42 handgun which the suspect had thrown onto a nearby pool rooftop. Bryan was transported by EMS while in police custody to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Both were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
Separately, Boston Police report arresting a Hyde Park man they say was packing a loaded gun while driving near Franklin Field on Friday afternoon.
Police say gang-unit officer spotted a driver fail to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk around 5:35 p.m. at Blue Hill Avenue and Callender Street:
Officers activated their emergency equipment and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The operator refused to stop his vehicle. Officers eventually were able to stop the vehicle at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave and Brookview Street. As officers approached the vehicle, the operator was instructed to exit the vehicle, to which he refused. Officers removed the operator from the vehicle and placed him under arrest following a brief but violent struggle. While attempting to place the suspect in handcuffs, officers observed a firearm protruding from the suspect’s pocket. Officers secured the firearm which was later determined to be a Titan .25 caliber firearm loaded with seven rounds of live ammunition.
Jordan Evans, 26, was charged with unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm, second offense, unlawful possession of a firearm, second offense, firearm violation with prior violent/drug crime conviction, unlawful possess of ammunition and failure to stop for police.
In 2015, Evans was arrested on gun charges on Harold Street in Roxbury.

You chose to move to the hood. From the sounds of things you haven't lived there long. It's an annual street festival. It's been happening long before you got there long after. If you can't take it go on a mini vacation carnival weekend.
And don't forget

New York does it. Miami Does it. Toronto Does it. All on a much much greater scale than Boston does. You Chose to live in a city. One weekend a year our community parties in the street and embraces our culture in our neighborhood. If you don't like it, MOVE! This event has been taking place long before you, and hopefully it's still around when you leave.
Gentrifier who has the audacity to call someone a snowflake? Are you serious dude?
I would rip that person a new - breathing orifice.

Obviously they were not getting enough air to their brain to act with maturity. Cops who say get over deserve to have their thin blue uniform ripped off to undies and then paraded through the street showing off their skid marks.

I called the police again tonight about the music blasting from Dorchester into Roslindale, Hyde Park and West Rox. Called on Saturday at 2am and the office of the noise/party line said without tow intersecting cross streets, she could not send over a patrol car to investigate. She did admit they had been receiving numerous calls about the post- carnival noise and parties. Not as loud as Friday which kept our family up until 5am.
Three nights of this crap. Doesn't feel like a cultural celebration.
Haven't heard...

No whining, complaining, or crying from you since the weekend came to a close?? Well ding dong the witch must be dead! Perhaps planning a family vacation for the end of August 2020 and each year thereafter would alleviate your issue! Highly unlikely but sounds good in theory.
Oh well, I guess we'll hear from you in 51 weeks with the same complaints.
