i have a feeling he might just not want to do training camp, it would not suprise me if he came back a few games into the season (or even half way thru the season)

I kind of agree, but one might have reasonably asserted the exact same thing two years ago. And Brady has an almost supernatural ability to avoid the hardest of hits.

Rules are set up to protect Quarterbacks from injuries. Tight Ends like Gronk are making physical contact on every single offensive play. Brady makes contact like 5 times a game, and maybe in the head once every 5 games.

But the knees get tweaked all the time. Plus the back. Plus these are 42 year old knees and vertebrae. Too much to look forward to. Needing Guselle to help him out of bed in the morning isn't one of them. I wish him well. But the odds and age eventually catch up with all of us.
Says the man who had the odds catch him at age 17 on a dirty play.
He will be in the Hall of Fame soon enough
