A Suffolk Superior Court judge today sentenced Damien Knighton, 41, of East Boston, to 9 to 12 years in state prison following his conviction earlier this month for sexually attacking four men at the MGH Back Bay Health Center, 388 Commonwealth Ave., in 2023, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Judge Debra Squires-Lee said four of the charges were "of the most egregious character” because they involved penetration of the victims. "The defendant used his position and status to facilitate commission of the offenses. The use of his position as a medical assistant to commit these crimes caused the victims additional emotional and psychic pain. They trusted the defendant and that trust was abused."
In addition to the prison term, Squires-Lee sentenced Knighton to three years of probation - and barred him for life from working in the medical field in Massachusetts.
