Ron Newman attended today's patriotic down-with-kings rally at the State House, which he reports was his third in two weeks and "the largest so far."
The sign refers to a weekend statement by Putin's enamorata.
OK, just in case you don't know what happened to Napoleon: Read all about it.
Stephen C. Bedell was there as well:

I just realized I'm 59 and worked my entire life . Very scared Social Security is next to be stolen and not there when I apply.
Given the weather,

20 degrees, ice everywhere, wind chill down to 10 at most, and winds so strong in the downtown Boston side street wind tunnels that I could barely move, I'm amazed the rally looked to me like it got a couple thousand people even with no speakers and little publicity.Â
Delighted to see people turning out.

I do wish we were seeing more leadership on this from, ya know, actual leaders. General strike, protests, shadow cabinets, marches - everything should be on the table, and the silence on this from our elected leaders here in Mass is deafening. At one organizing event over the weekend, I heard concerns expressed by others about where the push for marches like the one today are coming from, and if they are "safe" to attend. While I don't share that concern, I do wonder if the attendance would be better if these were more "sanctioned" events. (Yes, I'm aware of the irony of asking for a protest march to be 'approved' but I think people understand the distinction.)Â
Don't agree with their politics

But I have so much respect for their willingness to take to the streets in frigid temperatures and march peacefully downtown.
I went.

I am glad someone organized this, and I am grateful, but the messaging was off. Not the sign holders but the megaphone people. Repeating all the mistakes we made over the last four years and focusing on identity stuff when we need to be focusing on wealth redistribution and not being robbed by sociopathic ghouls. I did not think chants of Fuck Trump were especially inspiring. But then i didn’t exactly grab a megaphone myself either.
How does one find out about these rallies?

There's your answer right there.
Now is the time to work on your own "messaging" rather than criticize that of others.

Say what you want about Napoleon but he wasn't withholding sick leave from a terminally ill librarian.
had to do it.

I couldn't stay home after reading up on Vance's trip to europe and learning of multiple people in my network getting fired from their federal jobs over the weekend. So I went, and I was glad that others did as well, and there were lots of families and kids. Not what I wanted to be doing on such a cold day, but felt I needed to do it while it feels relatively safe to do so.
Thanks for the update

Trump is no Napoleon

Napoleon was a soldier. Donald Trump is a coward.
This is not a constitutional crisis, but a constitutional transformation not unlike that from the Roman republic to the Roman empire.
It's driven by constitutional dysfunction, on the one hand, and the massive concentration of wealth into the hands of a few very powerful individuals whose power now outweighs that of the government itself.
Trump is America's Boris Yeltsyn, a transitional figure between the old regime and the emerging new oligarchy which, at the moment, appears to be led by Elon Musk.
These demonstrations are too little, too late. Democracy was on the ballot on November 5, and it lost.Â

I keep getting timeouts and stupid Cloudflare errors.
Why did you have to change it? It was working perfectly fine before.Â

No, it wasn't. The errors you are saying are only happening now were happening frequently to me before the change.
The new website is still slow to load but has been loading eventually far more often than the old site was near the end.
