Alex DiPrato at Channel 7 reports State and local police in New Hampshire are investigating an incident in which guy came up to him and his cameraperson outside the Orangefest in Londonderry yesterday and threatened to blow up the two "motherfuckers," maybe that night.

According to the Daily Mail article were this photo came from, the pro-trump crowd at this major-urban-area event may have numbered "as many as 400". That's pretty darn small these days, compared to events attended by people with opposing views. It's good that our country continues to celebrate the right of people - regardless of viewpoint - to peacefully march/protest. But I'd be wary of drawing any kind of conclusions about the flow of public opinion from a picture of a minor event.
Nor would I brag too much about the relative levels of violence "being sold" by the left/right, when we've just seen a young proud Trump supporter fatally shoot several people on camera.

I still remember the day, years ago, when there was a bomb scare at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, which I attended from the fall of 1965 through the spring of 1969, and graduated from that June.
It was an icy-cold day, in the middle of January 1967. I was a Sophomore at my high school back then. In the middle of the morning, the high school was evacuated. It started out like a regular fire drill, and we were all milling about out in the cold without our winter coats. After being outside for so long, we all had to assemble in the high school gymnasium. The school Administration sent everybody out, gradually, by group, to our respective school buses, instead of sending us home, while the police, the Sudbury fire department, and the school administration searched the high school. Sending everybody home would've increased the chance of the perpetrator of the bomb scare doing it again, so we all sat on our respective school buses for a few hours, until it was okay to go back in.
The perpetrator of the bomb scare, a fourteen or fifteen year old Freshman at the high school, was caught fairly shortly thereafter. Since he was a juvenile delinquent, and was a white kid who lived in Lincoln, MA, a suburb of Boston, he spent the better part of a year in the Billerica House of Correction. We all learned of it, because it was announced to everybody over the school intercom.
The whole sordid state of affairs was rather incredible, and not funny.

I don't know why it's been taken down, but I saw the video early this am. The guy threatening the reporter is a jerk. Possibly a criminal, too. I didn't listen to the end, but if he made threats, I say prosecute.
The people burning and looting are jerks. And many of them criminals IMO, for doing so. I hope they're charged.
It's not an either/or. (As an ironic side note, the rioters might also help Trump win).

That sounds good, but in this case it would mean "thugs can threaten or physically attack reporters, and nobody should talk about it." You want people to be able to threaten the press without anyone except the victims knowing about it.
This isn't "hey look, I'm standing out there in a snowstorm." This is reporting on an attempt to interfere with freedom of the press. First amendment, remember.
The reporter in this case is the story for the same reason that Ronald Reagan was the story when Hinckley tried to kill him.
