Boston Police report officers patrolling the area around East Boston High School on Monday because of an outbreak of "youth violence" in the area noticed three young guys dressed in black, two wearing masks, sitting in Putnam Square Park near the school around 1:35 p.m. on Monday.

Recognizing the individuals and considering the time of day, their training, and the circumstances, Officers initiated an investigation.

As part of their inquiry, Officers determined that a pat-frisk for weapons was warranted. During the frisk, they recovered two large knives from two of the individuals.
