NBC Boston reports a ceiling tile crashed to a platform at Harvard. No injuries at least.
You may recall that way back in 2023, a ceiling tile at Harvard almost beaned a rider, after which the T removed some 100 water-logged ceiling tiles between Central and Andrew before they, too, came crashing down.
A couple months after that, another passenger at Harvard was hit in the head by part of a 200-lb. object that crashed to the platform, but it turned out that was not part of the T's crumbling infrastructure but instead a contraption left over from tests ten years earlier to study whether subway sensors could detect biological-warfare releases - that nobody involved in the tests remembered to remove when they were done.
